Q. How much does it cost?
It's only $100 to reserve your session date, which is then credited toward your Collection. No need to pick your Collection ahead of time. Wait until you see the final product and then decide which ones you want to keep. You can learn more about the Collections here.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book my session?
That depends on the time of year and how flexible you are in regard to your schedule. Since a lot of my clients are in town on vacation when they decide they'd like to do a beach session, I do my best to accommodate them. Please keep in mind, beach sessions need to be booked at dawn or dusk and those times vary depending on the season. Shooting at noon with the sun straight overhead is NOT a good idea. If you do need a specific day or time, or are booking a session with the intention of giving the images as a gift, you will need to book at least a month in advance. It is best to schedule at least 2 months before you need your final images. There is an additional charge for rush delivery of finished photos (requiring photos in less than 2 weeks from the date of your shoot).
Q. What should we wear?
Beach sessions are best with whites, khakis, and blues. Try to coordinate your outfits. Let's take a family of four, for example. If the two males wear blues and the two females wear whites, the colors balance and it works great. If you are a couple, you don't want one of you in blue and one of you in white. Look through my Portfolio to get ideas based on what others have worn in their pictures. You're welcome to ask my opinion, as well.
Q. What if my kids won't pose?
That's okay! Even the best kids may cry during some portion of the family photo session. They're at the beach and, in their mind, there are WAY more fun things to do than sit for a photographer. Let them run! Impromptu pictures are often the best pictures and the most memorable!
Q. Will my photos be on the internet?
That is entirely up to you. Every client on my social media or website has given me written permission to post their images. Privacy is my highest concern. If you prefer not to have your photos shared with others, I understand. If you want to give me permission, I will be thrilled to share them so other clients can get ideas about their own session and see what a great experience it can be.
Q. Some of the Image Collections mention a mobile app. What is that?
Some of my Image Collections provide you with a mobile app of your session. The mobile app is a digital photo album that can be saved to the home screen of your mobile devices and shared with ease. The Magical Memories Collection even comes with a special video of your session's images. You can view some of these videos here. From within the app, you can click to share single images or the full album to Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest, or easily share your album with family members and friends. Q. How many people can be a part of our session?
My prices are designed to accommodate up to 6 people. There is an upcharge of $25 for each additional person.
Q. If we're here on vacation, how do we get the final pictures?
Once your images are fully edited, I put them into an album on my website that is only accessible by you via a password I provide. After looking through the finished products, you can determine which Collection you would like to purchase. Some Collections only come with digital images and some come with prints. The digital images you select will be put into a cloud file to which you will be given the link. Prints come directly to your home. The mobile app is sent to you via a link and you simply save it to your phone so you can easily show off your beautiful pictures to your family and friends!
Q. Where are you located?
My home is in Ormond-by-the-Sea, near the Coastal Watchtower on A1A. Most of my sessions take place either there or within a few miles. However, I am happy to discuss your dream location with you. Sessions that take place more than 20 minutes from my location will incur an additional travel fee.
